Singapore, May 8 – At the "Asia's Moment" themed Climate Group Asia Action Summit opening here today, Mr. Ju Jing, Founder and CEO of BCI Group, delivered a keynote address upon invitation. In his speech, Mr. Ju stated that BCI Group has initially established a zero-carbon industrial cluster in China that effectively integrates energy and infrastructure campuses. He emphasized the group's commitment to actively participate in the internationalization process of China's carbon emissions trading system, aiming to advance the trading and global mutual recognition of green certificates for Chinese infrastructure through the practice of green power consumption in digital infrastructure.
To date, BCI Group has developed and operates nearly 900 MW of renewable energy power generation capacity in China. Upon full-capacity grid connection, the annual electricity output is expected to reach 1.6 billion kWh. Based on the current regional average electricity emission factor in China, this will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 1.1 million tons and save about 510,000 tons of standard coal annually.
BCI Group's super energy complex campuses have obtained relevant certifications under China's Renewable Energy Green Electricity Certificate (GEC) scheme. Following the anticipated international mutual recognition between the RE100 initiative and the GEC system, the green power certificates held by BCI Group's campuses will also gain international recognition.
BCI Group believes this development will further facilitate the global expansion of Chinese digital infrastructure and its deeper integration into worldwide infrastructure development.
