Taiyuan, September 2, 2022 – During the 2022 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Energy Administration, and the Shanxi Provincial Government, BCI Cloud Infrastructure took a significant step forward. Mr. Zhou Xiaobin, Senior Vice President of BCI Cloud Infrastructure, formally signed an investment agreement with the Tianzhen County People's Government of Datong City, Shanxi Province, for the "Taohuayuan" Datong Tianzhen Super Energy Complex Base project, a large-scale zero-carbon computing infrastructure initiative.

According to the agreement, the overall planning for the Tianzhen Super Energy Complex Base covers approximately 1,200 acres of land. The first phase will occupy about 380 acres, with a total investment of 6 billion Chinese yuan (RMB). This phase is designed to support a new computing power infrastructure industry ecosystem with a capacity of 200 IT MW, equivalent to approximately 400,000 servers. Furthermore, both parties reached a consensus on the investment and development of 500 MW of renewable energy and its supporting resources. Additionally, they agreed on exclusive cooperation for regional public supporting industries, contingent upon compliance with relevant policies.
